So it's a bit faster to press dismount->specific mount than pressing dismount->mount. Also, you can't mount until you touch the ground, except for mounts that can mound in mid-air. So dismounting on an upward slope or near a rock or other high spot will let you touch the ground faster, and be able to mount sooner. None prior PoF require any mount, though some have of course been drastically simplified by them. Some require a fairly long or counter-intuitive route to get to. Is there any in particular you're struggling with? And of course, in PoF and LW season 4 there are plenty that need the Springer.
Dragonfall is an awful zone without a flying mount. [Discussion] I'm really enjoying the story of "All or Nothing" (finale chapter to LWS4), but I gotta say, Dragonfall is a pain in the ass to navigate without a flying mount, and even the flying mounts they give you are irritatingly limited. Way too many mobs, way too dense, hitting way too hard.
They are both earned in game. The mount skins are cosmetics for the mounts and are obtained through the gemstore. All it does it change the apperance of the mount. Buying a mount skin when you don't have the actual mount unlocked does not give you the mount, but once you do obtain it, you can apply any skins you already have.
First of all, Guild Wars 2 mounts are often mentioned in many respectable gaming media as the best mount system in any MMO. They do not trivialize each other and they are more than just fast travelers. They take skill, specially the might Griffon. I oppose against making the Griffon easier to fly. Stand near a ledge or something you can jump off. Press the spacebar to jump off the ledge and press it again to open your glider. The yellow bar on your screen indicates how long you can still glide. You can open or close your glider whilst in the air by just pressing the space bar. B3FM6. 743 171 305 354 478 650 169 359
