The secret to excellent image quality within a compact body lies in the rearmost lens. RF24-105mm f/4-7.1 IS STM extends and retracts when you zoom in and out. Its maximum diameter is 76.6mm, which, combined with its 88.8mm length when fully retracted (to the wide-angle end), makes it relatively compact compared to the RF24-105mm f/4L IS USM
So far, the Canon 24-105mm f4 L IS USM seems to be a great walkaround lens for the Canon EOS R. We’re still actively testing the new Canon RF 24-105mm f4 L IS USM for the Canon RF camera system.
