Coop and campaign are the same. You play your campaign and either a friend drops in for Coop or he/she doesn't. Iirc everyone sees their own respektive progress in the game, so if you already uncovered more of the map than your buddy, than he will still get to see only the parts revealed that he has been himself before.
We understand the fury that many of the more seasoned Call of Duty fans have with regard to games like Ghosts, Advanced Warfare and Infinite Warfare. If you started out with the originals and then got blown away by the first two MW games and Black Ops, the more recent titles, especially those in a futuristic setting seemed out of place.
League play aswell was in black ops 2 but not in ghosts, and extinction was not as good as nazi zombies storylines from black ops 2. Ghosts is a really good game and arguably the game that required the best tactics in search and destroy. It just got released with expectations set high as hell. Sadly the campaign does not have co-op play despite the strong emphasis on teamwork and your squad. … The lack of co-op is disappointing – especially since the last World War 2 Call of Duty was the last game to feature it in the story mode.
