The main difference between Griffon and Skyscale is that Skyscale can stand still in air which is needed for some achievement. Griffon is faster as it can fly and get elevation from going forward, but Skyscale need to gradually rest (or later use skills to regain endurance) and avoid to get too close to walls which it will then hug.
