Ifound this out when I took my 5 year old 25000 mile A4 2.0 TFSI to my local Audi Stealers for a cambelt/tensioner/water pump change on its 5th birthday Was told, like the Op & the manual info, 'that the camchain needs replacing at 112,000 miles & it doesn't have a cambelt, it has a camchain sir' Help Please Cambelt change interval query

Aftersome thinking, I decided to pull all the parts and replace to make 100% sure. The chain also had 2.5mm of stretch. All the rails have been changed. Now back to reinstall the timing chain that I already installed once. I decided to leave the cam gear. Made sure everything was in 0hase like the edge motors video. .
2 Timing chain short life. The chain is said to live forever here but it doesn't. I've seen 45 TFSI engines in Audi A4 requiring chain change at 60,000 miles. It's insanely expensive, so you will not be glad to pay for this that early. Also, in another 50-60K miles, you may need another chain replacement.
